Terms

What you may do with the things you download from the Foundry, and the basis on which this site and any work that follows from it are offered.

What the Foundry is

The Foundry is original concept work: interactive tools, demonstrations and templates built to show range. Nothing in it is a real client's brand, and the businesses named in it are invented. A system generated by a tool in a few seconds is a starting point and a way to see whether a direction holds together. It is not a brand engagement, and it has not had the judgement that makes one worth paying for.

What you may do with a download

A file you generate and download from the Foundry describes choices you made. It is yours.

  • You may use it for your own business, including commercially, with no fee and no attribution required.
  • You may give it to a designer, a developer or a printer working for you.
  • You may not resell it, or repackage it as a template, a product or part of one.
  • It is provided as it is, with no warranty that it fits your purpose, and with no support attached.

What is not yours to use

The rest of the site is not covered by that. The Arohan name and mark, the writing, the design, the code, the case study material and the client work shown in it remain the property of Arohan or of the clients concerned. Do not reproduce them without asking.

Engagements

Nothing on this site is an offer, and nothing said here is a quote. Ranges given are there to help you work out early whether a conversation is worth having.

Work begins only once a scope is written down and agreed, with what is included, what is not, and what it costs. If a project is not a fit, that gets said early rather than quoted at. Anything agreed in that scope takes precedence over anything on this site.

The site itself

This site is provided as it is. It is kept accurate and available with reasonable care, but it is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted or free of error, and the research figures quoted on it are other people's published findings, cited as such, rather than results Arohan is promising you.

To the extent the law allows, Arohan is not liable for loss arising from use of this site or of anything downloaded from it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada that apply in it. Disputes go to the courts of Ontario.
